Corona Virus Update

Dear Lawrenceburg Seventh-day Adventist Church Members,

In prayerful consideration of recent events concerning the Corona Virus, COVID-19, we’re taking a proactive measure to prevent its spread. In cooperation with the latest recommendations given by the CDC as well as the North American Division’s guidance concerning social gatherings, we will not be meeting in person at church beginning Sabbath, March 21. As we considered our options, we found this quote from the NAD Administration directive especially helpful.

We take cautious guidance from Ellen G. White: “God will not work a miracle to keep those from sickness who have no care for themselves, but are continually violating the laws of health and make no efforts to prevent disease. When we do all we can on our part to have health, then may we expect that the blessed results will follow, and we can ask God in faith to bless our efforts for the preservation of health” (Councils on Health, p. 59).

Even though we may not be meeting at the church building, we will continue to gather online Sabbath mornings. Sabbath School will begin at 10 AM and Church at 11. You can join with a computer and webcam or, if you don’t have that technology available to you, you can join by simply calling in on your telephone. The instructions are included below.
