I’ve often heard parents that are worried about the salvation of their children--especially when the children become young adults and sometimes leave the church. I, too, have had that same worry, and I, too, was that much prayed for prodigal at one time. Over the years I have found a Bible promise here and a Bible promise there that brings me great comfort. A year or so ago I chain-referenced them into my Bible* It is a simple technique that allows one to read these verses consecutively. Whether or not one chooses to chain reference, or just read the verses--one could even pray them--they are bound to give parents a lot of peace concerning their children. Here is a list of the precious promises. I hope and pray that they give you as much comfort as they have given me.
Jeremiah 31:15-17; Joel 2:25; Isaiah 44:3,4; Isaiah 49:25; Isaiah 54:13; Deuteronomy 28:4; Deuteronomy 30:6,19,20; Psalm 103:17,18; Proverbs 14:26; Ezekiel 14:22; Acts 16:31; and 2 Timothy 1:12 (last part)
May God richly bless all of your families.
In His service,
*If anyone is interested in seeing how I’ve chain-referenced my Bible please give me a call and I’ll be happy to show you how I’ve done it.
